Former Siebel Executive to Guide Future Development at Intelligent Search Vendor

SAN BRUNO, CA, September 27, 2004 — InQuira Inc., provider of the leading intelligent search solutions for improving personalized customer interaction via the web, today announced that Mark Woollen has joined the company as vice president of products. Prior to joining InQuira, he was group director for Siebel Systems' service and call-center products. There, he grew the company's web service product line to the number one position in e-CRM market share. Woollen has over 10 years experience in technical sales, marketing and product management in both internet and customer relationship management (CRM) software applications. In addition to his work at Siebel, he has also held positions at Oracle Corporation and Advent Software.

"Mark's extensive experience in creating successful web service products for Siebel has prepared him perfectly for guiding the future development of InQuira's products," said Mike Murphy, InQuira's CEO. "We're especially excited about the immediate impact Mark is having on our solutions for Web Self Service and Contact Centers."

"At this point in my career, I'm convinced that in order to provide optimum service over the web, it's essential to understand a customer's need in real time," said Woollen. "I chose to make this move because, from what I have seen in the marketplace, no company has better technology for understanding a customer's need than InQuira."
