INQUIRA APPOINTS PROVEN ENGINEERING VICE PRESIDENT

Engineering VP Brings 20 Years' Software-Development and Management Experience to InQuira

SAN BRUNO, Calif., April 18, 2005 — InQuira Inc., the leading provider of intelligent search solutions for improving the quality of customer interactions through websites and contact centers, has named Jerry Ko — a 20-year software developer and executive manager for several startups — as the company's vice president of engineering. Ko will be based in InQuira's San Bruno, California, headquarters and will report to CEO Mike Murphy.

During Ko's tenure in his most recent role — as vice president of engineering at Open Harbor Inc., a provider of solutions to automate international trade — the company was ranked number one in Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal's annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in Silicon Valley. Ko's extensive engineering and management experience also includes a role as engineering vice president for Escalate Inc., as well as engineering senior-management positions with Netscape Communications and several other companies.
